The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself was orphaned and he drew people’s attention to the plight of orphans. He once raised his index finger and middle finger and said: “I and the sponsor of an orphan will be like these two (fingers) together in Paradise.” By choosing to sponsor an orphan, you can attain that closeness to the Prophet, ensure the wellbeing of a child in Yemen and give him or her the support needed to flourish in later life.
